This panel will discuss how and why religion moved into the realm of psychotherapy from a historical point of view. It will also examine two competing perspectives: the viewpoint that religion and psychotherapy are two separate and distinct enterprises that should not intermingle, and the viewpoint that religion and psychotherapy should be, and in many respects have been, integrated.
